Ski Purgatory Ski Resort - Purgatory’s terrain is 23% beginner, 51% intermediate, and 26% advanced / expert with 11 lifts including the new Purgatory Village Express high-speed, six person super chair.
The Columbine Beginners’ Area, served by its own lifts, is easily accessible to the rest of the resort. The Columbine area has its own ticket office and restaurant, and gives first timers a fun and friendly arena for learning the in’s and out’s of skiing or snowboarding.
Wolf Creek Ski Area - Located in the beautiful San Juan/Rio Grande National Forest between Pagosa Springs and South Fork, CO and only 75 miles east of Durango, CO. One of Colorado's oldest and finest ski resorts. Our trademark is friendly employees and abundant, light powder snow. Wolf Creek is a high alpine ski resort, 10,300 feet at the base and 11,900 feet at the summit. Wolf Creek offers six lifts servicing incredibly beautiful terrain and over 1,581 acres.
Telluride - A 12,260-foot playground that offers world-class skiing and snowboarding in a relaxed atmosphere. There's more than 3,500 vertical feet of naturally segregated terrain. Just step out the door and explore 85 runs that range from mild to wild. Telluride is located approximately 2.5 hours northeast of Durango and can be enjoyed as a daytrip adventure from Durango.
